INTRODUCING OUR PRINCIPAL SURVEYOR:Tim has been involved in boat building for over 40 years and has experience in GRP, Steel, wood and Ferro-cement. He has been not only a boat builder but a boat sailor having sailed to New Zealand from the UK over 30 years ago in a boat he built for himself. His experience encompasses Ocean cruising vessels as well as smaller coastal cruising boats, launches and various commercial vessels. He holds a commercial skippers ticket and has worked on commercial boats. Tim also has Royal Yachting Association Yacht-master Off-shore qualifications in both Sail and Power. He ran an RYA boating school in Wellington for some years teaching Power-Boating up to advanced level, Yacht-master Off-shore courses for both Sail Cruisers and the same for Launch owners. While in Wellington he worked with a Maritime New Zealand recognised Surveyor on commercial vessels and found this to be an invaluable experience. Since then he has specialised in Recreational craft of all types. Tim maintains a membership with the International Institute of Marine Surveying. Whether a client is experienced or new to boating Tim would be an excellent choice of Surveyor since his passion for all things boating coupled with his highly developed communication skills (honed in teaching) ensure that the client will be fully informed.
